Company Location

Cabilfrut is located in the district of Cabildo, province of Petorca, Fifth Region of Chile, at approximately 160 kms from Valparaiso, main port for ocean shipment in the country.

privileged climate

The exceptional climate in this zone, with a permanent sun exposure during eight months in the year, a great brightness, fundamental factor for the development of fruits of good quality and gauge, and the absence of polluting agents, have made possible that the fruit activity, specially that of the avocado, play the leading role in the Fifth Region with plantations that exceed the 7.000 Ha.

The boom of the avocado all through the region has been especially notorious in Cabildo, area that in only two seasons has turned into the main productive center of this region with 2.863 Ha., even superseding Quillota which today counts with 2.100 Ha.

Since the introduction of Cabilfrut S.A. in 1989, it has had a very important participation in the accelerated development of the province of Petorca, and specifically in the district of Cabildo, where since that year, the company started the production, commercialization and exports of avocado to the United States.

Both, the location and the climate have been fundamental aspects for the development of this and other fruit products. Nonetheless, the proximity to the port of Valparaiso is also an unquestionable advantage for the company, mainly because the quick access to it expedites the commercialization and exports of its own production and that of more than 200 small, medium and large-scale growers.
